Lynn Horiye selected as the 2017 CCS Girls Tennis Honor Coach
Chris Volta

Lynn Horiye has been selected by his peers per the as this year's CCS Honor Coach for Girls Tennis. Coach Lynn has been the head girls tennis coach at Saint Francis High School since 2001.  Serving also as our head gymnastics coach and campus supervisor, Coach Lynn is a fixture on the Saint Francis campus.

During his time as our head tennis coach, Coach Lynn has had some very successful individuals and teams on the court.  However, it is the consistent love and support that he brings them on a daily basis that truly separates him as an educator.  In the up and down daily lives of high school students, Coach Lynn is that constant and consistent presence in their lives.  Every day when the girls come to practice, Coach Lynn is there to greet, love, support and encouragement them.

One needs only to talk with a few of the girls on our team to see the genuine respect and admiration they have for Coach Lynn.  It is difficult to find anyone who has anything negative to say about him – as a coach or as a person.  I truly believe that is because Coach loves what he does and loves being around young people on a daily basis.

Coach Lynn will be presented his award at the CCS Girls Tennis Team Championship on November 11th at Bay Club Courtside in Los Gatos.

Congratulations Coach Lynn on this significant honor!
