Saint Francis is proud to host some of the nation’s best high school football in August when the Honor Group, a nationally recognized non-profit that provides education about the needs of veterans, brings the Honor Bowl to the Bay Area for the first time.
The 2018 Honor Bowl will feature 10 teams and five games over two days on Aug. 24-25, 2018. As the host school, Saint Francis will compete in one of the marquee games. The additional participating teams will be announced at a later date. During the two-day event, players will have an opportunity to learn about the sacrifices soldiers and their families make when they meet wounded veterans and Gold Star parents at Levi’s Stadium.
“Our school is pleased to join the Honor Group to host the 2018 Honor Bowl here at Saint Francis and to partner with them and help their mission,” said Director of Athletics Michael Pilawski. “We have heard so many positive things about this powerful event and are looking forward to help make the Northern California Honor Bowl a success.”
The Honor Bowl raises money in support of military veterans and is sponsored by the San Francisco 49ers.
